This is a love story about 13 year River that has been adopted by a wealthy family. Prior to being adopted she was in several abusive foster homes. River falls in love with her brother’s best friend. They overcame several obstacles that prevented them from being together as a couple. Finally after 10 years they declare their love for each other. I feel sorry for River because she thought the only things she had to offer Everett was a blow job and anal sex. Also, while reading the book I felt like the author went back and added the f... bonb a few times just because. Otherwise, the language is fine. Why write a beautiful story only to end it with a blow job and anal sex. That’s not what I consider love.
